Co-founder and vice president/secretary of MyGoodDeed.org, the nonprofit group that led the campaign to establish 9/11 as an annually recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance. On September 11, Jay’s brother Glenn was killed in the line of duty at The World Trade Center. Inspired by his brother’s devotion to community service, Jay joined David Paine in 2003 as co-founder in helping to build the 9/11 Day of Service initiative, and has become a passionate advocate for volunteering and national service. Joe Spalluto serves as treasurer of MyGoodDeed.org, having joined the board of directors in 2006. Joe is Executive VP and Managing Director of Keefe, Bruyette and Woods – the nationally respected New York-based investment banking and services firm that lost 67 of its colleagues during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Mr. Spalluto received a BA from Amherst College and a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Jim Fassel, the new head coach of the Las Vegas UFL team, Jim Fassel joined the MyGoodDeed.org board of directors in 2008. Jim, who began his professional coaching career in 1974, coached the New York Giants from 1997 to 2003, leading the team to the Super Bowl in 2001. While coaching the Giants, Jim witnessed first hand the tragedy of 9/11 and helped organize the team to support the rescue and recovery efforts. After 9/11, he founded the Jim Fassel Foundation, which has raised more than one million dollars to assist the families in the New York Metro area whose lives have been impacted by sudden tragedy or debilitating illness or injury. Alice Hoagland, today a respected authority on airline safety, is the mother of 9/11 victim Mark Bingham, who along with the other brave passengers of United Flight 93, stormed the cockpit and fought with terrorists for control of the hijacked aircraft. Although Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, PA, killing all aboard, the efforts of Mark and others heroically prevented the terrorists from striking intended targets in Washington DC.

Edie Lutnick, Executive Director, Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund
Edie Lutnick is a Co-founder, Officer, and the Executive Director of The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, a 501 (c) 3 not for profit charity established September 14, 2001 to address the short and long term needs of victims of terrorism, natural disasters and emergencies. Under Ms. Lutnick's leadership The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund has raised and distributed over 180 million dollars to over 800 families of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and has been instrumental in assiting them to heal. Ms. Lutnick is also a respected voice on a multitude of 9/11 advisory groups including the September 11th National Memorial and Museum and the Port Authority.

In 2004, Senator "Chuck" Schumer authored the very first Congressional resolution which called upon the President of the United States to proclaim 9/11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. The resolution passed the U.S. Congress unanimously in 2004 as H. Con. Res 473. Joining as co-sponsors in the Senate were then U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT), Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), and Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). Senator Schumer has been a steadfast supporter of the rights of 9/11 victims and their families, and has continued to fight for the post 9/11 medical needs of those impacted by rescue and recovery effort.

Rep. Pete King is the ranking member on the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee. Rep. King joined with Senator Schumer as original co-authors of the successful H. Con. Res. 473, securing unanimous passage of the resolution in the House of Representatives. He has continued to serve with great distinction and compassion the interests and needs of 9/11 victims, families and rescue and recovery workers.

Gary Sinise has been an advisor to MyGoodDeed.org since 2004. He helped produce and narrate the organization's first television and radio public service announcements, which began airing nationally in 2005. Gary is an active supporter of the U.S. armed services and currently serves as spokesperson for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial Foundation. He is also a founder of Operation Iraqi Children, which helps to bring school supplies and other services to schools in Iraq. Gary currently stars in the award-winning CBS television series CSI: New York.

Joe Daniels serves as the President and CEO of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center Foundation, Inc. As head of the organization dedicated to building a memorial and museum to honor the victims of September 11, 2001, Mr. Daniels directs planning, construction, and development. He has led the foundation to many accomplishments, including a twenty-seven city national tour, an initial capital fundraising campaign totaling over of 350 million dollars, and the opening of the Preview Site on August 26, 2009. Prior to his work with the Memorial & Museum, Mr. Daniels was employed with the Robin Hood Foundation.
